The A-HA program is quickly moving into the second year of operation at the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA), with the University of Guelph and University of Waterloo as partners. This report provides a snapshot of A-HA research and dissemination activities from the first year. A-HA’s mission is to improve the quality of life for older adults through the innovative use of food, which is demonstrated by the activities highlighted in this report. Thanks to all of A-HA partners who helped to make 2009 a success!
Tier 1 Canada Research Chairs in Aging, Food and HealthMarch 23, 2010
The University of Guelph invites applications for two Tier 1 Canada Research Chairs (one SSHRC- or CIHR-based; one NSERC-based) that will sit at the apex of three of the core research themes in its Strategic Research Plan: food, health promotion and individual/family well-being.
Review of applications and nominations will begin May 14, 2010 and continue until the position is filled. Applicants should electronically submit a curriculum vitae, a brief (2-3 page) seven year research program plan, and a record of teaching effectiveness along with contact information for five referees (who will not be contacted without the consent of the candidate), to:
