Lisa Duizer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph. She has an undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition and an MSc and PhD in Food Science/Food Technology. Lisa’s research interests focus primarily on sensory aspects of food, particularly as they relate to texture perception. She has worked collaboratively with members of the Agri-Food for Healthy Aging research group to study pureed foods from both a sensory and nutrition perspective and is currently working on a project to improve nutrient intakes for older adults in long term care.
